On a beautiful Friday afternoon, May 26th, 2023, with a perfect temperature of 74°F, we had the honor of being part of the unforgettable union of military serviceman Tyler and his lovely bride Tyler. The couple chose the stunning venue of Milton Ridge, located at 26130 Frederick Rd, Clarksburg, MD 20871.
The wedding party was lively and full of camaraderie, featuring seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen. Notably, all the groomsmen, except the best man, were also from the military, creating an environment of shared experiences and brotherhood. The maid of honor was none other than Brianna, the bride's sister, whom we had the pleasure of meeting previously when we photographed her wedding at the Tannery Barn.
The day was meticulously planned to the minute, starting with the bride's detail photos at 3:30 PM, followed by the bridesmaids' prep and portraits. The groom and his groomsmen had their detail shots and portraits taken after that. The timeline continued with father-daughter reveal, wedding ceremony space photos, and the guests finding their seats. After the processional, the ceremony, and the recessional, the guests were cleared for the cocktail hour. The evening continued with the wedding party group and individual shots, family formals, grand entrance, and the special dances.
The couple opted for the traditional first dance, followed by the father-daughter and mother-son dances. The night continued with speeches, dinner, cake cutting, and a toast by the bride and groom.
The entire event was made even more special by the vendors who worked behind the scenes. Milton Ridge provided an all-inclusive service, including catering, bar service, and PA system for the self-DJ’d reception. The beautiful dress was from Nicole Bridal in Jenkintown, PA, and the florals were the work of Florals by Wendy. The whole event ran smoothly thanks to the excellent coordination by Meaghan Popolaski from Milton Ridge.
Of course, there were some 'must-have' photos that the bride and groom wanted us to capture. These included the father's first look at the bride, the groom's first look at the bride walking down the aisle, and the lively dancing at the reception. The bride had also designed all the signage and paper programs, which were worth capturing. They also wished for some couple shots on the front porch of the bridal/groom suites with the swing chair and photos of the memorial table dedicated to a dearly departed bridesmaid.
The wedding of Tyler and Tyler was truly a memorable event, filled with joy, love, and a sense of community brought together by their shared experiences in the military.
